In 2024, three new Members\u2014two Knights and one Dame\u2014were unanimously admitted to the Order of Malta within the Romanian Association (AROM) by the Sovereign Council.<\/p>\n
In line with the Order\u2019s traditions, those Members were today celebrated in a religious service, which was graciously hosted by the Apostolic Nuncio to Romania and the Republic of Moldova, HE The Most Reverend Giampiero Gloder, at the Apostolic Nunciature in Bucharest.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was led by Archbishop Gloder together with Archbishop Emeritus of Bucharest, Ioan Robu; the Chaplain of the Romanian Association, Fr. Gabriel Popa; and the investiture was led by the President of the Romanian Association, Count Tibor K\u00e1lnoky KM.<\/p>\n
The three Members celebrated were Mrs Kinga P\u00e9ter DM, Dr James Michael Wilson KM, and Mr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Csatl\u00f3s KM. Also in attendance were the Ambassador of the Order to Romania, HE Roberto Musneci KM; the Hospitaller of the Order\u2019s Romanian Relief Corps (SAMR), Mr Mih\u00e1ly Denes KM; the Secretary General of the Relief Corps, Mr Ferenc Tischler KM; and many other Members of the Romanian Association and wider Order, together with friends and family.<\/p>\n
Following the ceremony, Archbishop Gloder addressed the three newest Members of AROM, noting his experience with the Order in Latin America, saying, \u201cThe Order of Malta plays a crucial role all over the world, working tirelessly with the sick and the poor.\u201d The Nuncio continued, \u201cAs a small but important group of people, it is vital to keep the Order going through the admission of worthy candidates. Congratulations once again.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the celebration, Ambassador Musneci explained, \u201cOur three newest Members are outstanding and longstanding volunteers with the Order, having dedicated well over a decade of service each to the Order\u2019s humanitarian, hospitaller, and charitable works.\u201d<\/p>\n
