Imprisoned and tortured under the communist regime, Cardinal Hossu remains a defining figure for Catholicism in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>President Vexler also reflected on commitments expressed during meetings held at the Holy See, including Pope Leo XIV\u2019s confirmation of Pope Francis\u2019s intention to celebrate a Holy Mass in St Peter\u2019s Basilica in honour of Cardinal Hossu.<\/p>\n<p>At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Musneci stated,<br \/>\n\u201cInterfaith dialogue remains essential in today\u2019s challenging climate.
