The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Romania, Mr. Roberto Musneci, had the opportunity to join the launch of the Future Resilience Forum on 10th October in London.
The Forum is an initiative of Fiona Hill, former chief of staff at n.10 under Theresa May’s administration and it was opened by the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Royal Naval College.
The full day event saw several debates spanning from resilience in managing critical dependencies as well as democratic resilience, technological resilience, food and health systems and resilience in the dialogue between global south and developed countries. The context of the debate was clearly in the light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine the recent terrorist attacks in Israel and the increasing competition between western countries and China.
Of course the immigration challenges and the humanitarian crisis were also a subject of lively debate.
Several former heads of states and former heads of governments, government agencies, as well industries leaders and leaders of multilateral organizations joined the conference that is expected to become an annual event.
