Last Friday on 6th October, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown and HRH Prince Radu hosted at the Royal Palace, the celebration for the 140th anniversary of the inauguration of Peles Castle.
They were also joined by HRH Princess Sofia.
The gathering of Diplomats, Authorities, NGO’s and high rank military personnel was welcomed by a short but highly appreciated concert of military music played by the Official Orchestra of the Ministry of Defence.
Her Majesty, as well as her predecessors is the patron of the association of military orchestras.
In his address to the audience, His Royal Highness, Prince Radu of Romania called Peles castel a “Cathedral of Romanian State”, having witnessed the most topical events of the history of Romania since 1873.
