On Friday 14th, our Ambassador at large for the Roma community H.E. Franz Salm Reifferscheidt, together with Mrs. Reka Eross organized in Vienna, an amazing concert in the Mozart Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus, where a skilled Roma Orchestra wonderfully played, jumping from Schostakovich to Astor Piazzolla and traditional Gypsy music. The concert was intertwined with a film on Roma conditions and Order of Malta projects of social inclusion in Central Eastern Europe as well as Interviews to the musicians and of course to our Serviciu de Ajutor Maltez head of programs Anca Simu.
The concert was also attended by the President of Austria, HE Alexander Van der Bellen and several dignitaries and members of the Order across Europe.
Our Ambassador Roberto Musneci and his wife Marialaura attended the event with their family and took the opportunity to discuss the status of several projects currently ongoing in Romania. Our projects in Valea Crisului, led by our Minister Counsellor and President of AROM Tibor Kalnoky, were featured in the film and highlighted as a benchmark in social inclusion.
We would like to thank Ambassador Salm and his lovely wife Barbara for their hospitality in Vienna and overall leadership in this complex endeavour.
