Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Romania signs book of condolences for Pope Francis

Today, on 24 April 2025, Ambassador Roberto Musneci KM, accompanied by his wife Marialaura Musneci DM, signed the book of condolences for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, at the Apostolic Nunciature in Bucharest.

The Apostolic Nuncio, HE Giampiero Gloder, and First Secretary Mons. Luca Caveada welcomed diplomats, authorities, and others who came to express their feelings of gratitude for the service that Pope Francis gave to humanity. The first to sign the book was Romanian Prime Minister, HE Marcel Ciolacu, who expressed his condolences on behalf of the Romanian Government.

After signing the book of condolences, Ambassador Musneci declared, “All has been said and written in these past days about the integral role His Holiness played in the international arena, both in terms of interpreting the Dogmas and social changes.” The Ambassador added, “On behalf of the Order of Malta in Romania, I can only once again express our immense gratitude for the service he rendered to whole of humanity—and to our Order in particular—throughout his life. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
