Last Friday 24th, Ambassador Roberto Musneci was asked to present the interview – book “Faith, Life and Diplomacy”, written by H.E. Miguel Maury Buendia, former Nuntio Apostolic in Romania and currently Nuntio in Great Britain.
The presentation of the book, edited by the famous publisher Curtea Veche was done together with Traian Hristea, Secretary of State of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and took place at the Foreign Office.
The vast audience included, H.E. Aurel Perca, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest, H.E. Archbishop Ioan Robu, H.E. Mihai Fratila, Bishop of the Greco-Catholic Church in Bucharest and many other members of the church, diplomats and people who appreciated Mons. Buendia’s energy, openness and dedication during his mandate.
The interviewer, Mrs. Diana Turconi Bubenek, also a senior diplomat with long experience on Vatican affairs, helped Mons. Buendia to navigate from theological and philosophical considerations to historic and diplomatic assessments across the world, from family anecdotes and personal youth experiences, artistic and sociological remarks. The result is an entertaining blend of the pragmatic optimism based on the Faith that characterizes a Christian, a man of the Church and a seasoned diplomat. The Embassy of the Order is grateful to H.E. Miguel Maury Buendia and Mrs. Turconi for this opportunity that confirms the excellent relations with the Apostolic Nunciature and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
