On Sunday 14 December 2025, as in previous years, Father Marco and his choir from the Carmelite Monastery in Ciofliceni pleasantly surprised the Ambassador by visiting the Residence to perform a selection of traditional colinde, Romanian Christmas carols that form an integral part of the country’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

Family members and friends joined the spontaneous musical moment, which took the form of an informal Christmas gathering and was followed by a convivial dinner.

The Embassy warmly thanks Father Marco and the members of the choir for their wonderful performance, helping to prepare all those present for the joy of Advent and the coming celebration of Christmas.
