On 29 May 2024, Ambassador Roberto Musneci of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Romania hosted a dinner in honour of the President of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Council, Mr. Mykhailo Simashkevich, during his visit to Bucharest.

Mr. Simashkevich and his team are in Romania this week accompanying 45 Ukrainian children and teachers, who are guests of the Order of Malta Relief Corps in Romania (SAMR)at the Order’s facilities in Micfalău, located in central Romania.

This great initiative is led by SAMR, spearheaded by the Order’s Hospitaller in Romania, Mr. Mihaly Denes, who also joined the dinner together with members of the SAMR team, along with Communication Coordinator for the Embassy of the Order of Malta to Romania, Mr. James Michael Wilson.

The relations between the Kamianets-Podilskyi District Council and the Order of Malta have been strong since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, where SAMR have made numerous field missions to Kamianets-Podilskyi Rayon.
