HE Ambassador Roberto Musneci received the Laurea Honoris Causa

On 26th May the University for Agriculture and Veterinary Medici in Cluj (USMAV) conferred the Laurea Honoris Causa to HE Ambassador Roberto Musneci for his contribution, as an expert in the field of health and scientific research on ethical grounds, in the field of life sciences, for the technological transfer from academia to business, as well as for his contribution to restoring diplomatic relations between Romania and the Sovereign Order of Malta. The decision was taken by the Academic Senate presided by Prof Viorel Mitre and sustained by the Rector Prof Cornel Catoi. The Laudatio was made by Mr Adrian Oros, Pro Rector and former Minister of Agriculture.
The lectio Magistralis was focussed on the “Role of Humanitarian and Faith Diplomacy in Conflict Areas”. The Ceremony was followed by an Economic Forum organized by VIACLUJ TV and chaired by Mr. Claudiu Padurean on “Scientific Innovation and Ethic”.
The University also assigned a Laurea Honoris Causa to Prof Franco Roperto, Professor at University of Naples Federico II for his scientific contribution in the field of veterinary and comparative pathology and for the support given to the internationalization of research at USMAV. Among other authorities the Bishop of Cluj, Claudiu Lucian Pop, the auxiliary Bishop of Alba Iulia, László Kerekes and the Italian Honorary Consul Massimo Novali participated to the ceremony and the Forum.
