Between May 4th and 9th, as every year, the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta participated in the pilgrimage to Lourdes, an important annual event for the Order, whose main purpose is to provide medical and spiritual care to the sick and those with special needs. During this event, members of the Sovereign Order of Malta and volunteers provided medical and spiritual care to those suffering from illnesses or disabilities, while also being a moment of prayer and reflection for all present.
The pilgrimage is organized in collaboration with the Medical Association of Lourdes and volunteers from around the world. Participants were accommodated in special camps involved in various activities, including processions, prayers, and religious services.
This year the Romanian group coordinated by the Hospitaller of our knights Association AROM was formed by 30 participants from our branches in Transilvania and Bucharest. Beneficiaries came from Don Orione Institute and our Cluj relief organization.
