Yesterday 20th December, Ambassador Musneci met with HE Ambassador Luminita Odobescu, Presidential Counsellor for international Affairs, at the Presidential Palace in Cotroceni. The meeting confirmed the constant excellent working relations between the Presidential administration and our Embassy.More specifically, it was noted that 2022 will mark  90 years from the establishment of diplomatic relations interrupted unilaterally in 1947. 2021 also marked the 30th anniversary of the re- establishment of the relations. Due to Covid restrictions in 2021, also this celebration will take place next year.Ambassador Musneci also briefed the presidential administration on the two new projects launched last September in Mic Falau and Pauleasca to support respectively our Volunteers community and the disadvantaged people living in Pauleasca. Both projects were developed thanks to the commitment of Ambassador Franz Salm.In the first quarter of 2022 another “after school” project will be opened in Bucharest and restructuring works are ongoing. This initiative, as well as the one in Pauleasca, is part of the broader plan to extend our Order presence in Bucharest and other regions beyond Transilvania. Last but not least, Ambassadors Odobescu and Musneci shared views on how to follow up on the award, facilitated by our Embassy, given to President Iohannis in 2020 by the President of the Paneuropean foundation Coudenhove-Kalergi, HSH Nikolaus Von Liechtenstein, to recognize President Iohannis’s relentless efforts to promote a peaceful, tolerant and United Europe.
