Message of Condolences and Support for the Victims of the Attack in Kyiv
18/06/2025
On behalf of the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to Romania, we extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy following the tragic ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on 17 June 2025, which resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives and left more than 75 people injured.
Since the onset of the war in Ukraine, the Order of Malta—true to its centuries-old humanitarian mission—has stood in solidarity with all those in need, mobilising resources and volunteers to provide medical assistance, emergency relief, shelter, and care for those most affected by the fighting. Our commitment to upholding human dignity and alleviating suffering has been unwavering, and we remain dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable, regardless of circumstance, in line with the Order’s charism and the humanitarian principles.
In these moments of profound sorrow, we pray for the families of the victims and all those who continue to endure hardships.
