Today, on invitation of the President of the Senate, HE Mrs Alina Gorghiu, the Ambassador Roberto Musneci had the pleasure to participate to the exhibition in the Senate for the National Day of the Roma community.
The event consisted in an exhibition of traditional clothes and works as well as panels describing some of the most renown Roma artists.
The event was opened by the President of the Senate, members of the Senate cultural commission and leaders of the Roma community.
In his brief intervention, the Ambassador mentioned some of the project developed by the Order in Romania such as those in Valea Crisului, Pauleasca or Bucharest. Those projects are not for the Roma community but rather together with the Roma community in a genuine effort of inclusion. Ambassador Musneci mentioned that the presence of an Ambassador at large, in the person of HE Ambassador Franz Salm proves the relevance for the Sovereign Order of strengthening relations with the Roma community.
The exhibition was also attended by some other members of the diplomatic corp and the media.
