Did you know there are three Order of Malta entities in Romania?
1. The Romanian Association of the Order of Malta (@OrderofMaltaRomania or AROM) is the religious and chivalric body of Knights and Dames in Romania. AROM is a small body of less than 30 people as of 2025, devoted to living out the Order’s mission of defending the faith and serving those in need.
2. The Sovereign Order of Malta’s Embassy to Romania (@OrderofMaltaEmbassyRO or Ambasada Ordinului Suveran Militar de Malta) represents the Order as a sovereign entity in its official diplomatic relations with the Romanian State, coordinating and enhancing intergovernmental cooperation.
3. The Order of Malta Relief Corps in Romania (Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez în România or SAMR/Maltez) is the volunteer organisation that carries out the Order’s medical and humanitarian work on the ground, providing social assistance, medical aid, and disaster relief across the country.
Together, these three are known as ‘Order of Malta Romania’. You can find all social links at: //www.linktr.ee/OrderofMaltaRO
