From 30 April to 5 May 2026, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Romania, HE Roberto Musneci KM, and his wife, Marialaura, were honoured to take part in the Order’s 68th annual international pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, together with Members of the Romanian Association and the Romanian Relief Corps (Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez în România).
This year’s pilgrimage brought together 7,600 participants, including around 1,300 malades, accompanied with care and dedication by the Members and volunteers of the Order from across the world.
The Romanian delegation, comprising 31 participants, included HE Gergely Kovács, Archbishop of Alba Iulia, and Count Tibor Kálnoky, President of the Romanian Association. The presence reflects the Order of Malta Romania’s mission of service, bringing together Members, clergy, volunteers, and guests, in a shared experience of faith and care.
