On June 2nd, King Charles III was received at Cotroceni by President Klaus Werner Iohannis. In addition to the Presidential administration, members of the government, the majority of the diplomatic corps, and a few representatives from the business community and civil society were also invited to the meeting. The King’s first visit abroad was rightly perceived by the people and the media as a clear sign of his affection for Romania, a country he has regularly visited in recent years. After the official speeches, the King and the President kindly engaged in discussions with the guests, allowing everyone to share a word of welcome on behalf of the embassies and organizations present at the event. His Majesty then departed for Transylvania, where the Ministerial Counselor of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Romania, Count Tibor Kalnoky, was involved in organizing the visit to the region. It is a great honor and immense pleasure for both the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Romania and the entire SMOM community.
