After the working visit in Solotvyno, on Friday, we visited the Order of Malta logistic center in Beregovo Ukraine some 30 km from the border in Halmeu.
We were welcomed by Makkuk Janos, the director of the center and Andriy Khanas, charge’ d’affaires of the Sovereign Order of Malta Embassy to Ukraine.
Two trucks with food, hygiene materials and equipments such as generators and others were delivered by our volunteers from Satu Mare who travelled with us.
The deposit has a great potential well into Ukraine, in an area well connected and still peaceful, to become a hub for deliveries in other parts of the country.
The spirit of the entire team was high and activities are ongoing to maximize the potential with the help of sister organizations of the Order in Romania, Hungary, Italy and Germany.
Another great day with the SAMR team doing whatever possible for displaced people in Ukraine.
