On 21 October, the Sovereign Order of Malta organised a conference entitled “The humanitarian crisis in Ukraine in times of war and support of the Order of Malta”, hosted at the Magistral Villa in Rome.
2024 marks 777 years of the shared history between the people of Romania and the Sovereign Order of Malta. To celebrate this milestone in history, the Order of Malta in Romania has created a timeline to highlight some of the key dates in the Order’s relations with Romania.

They discussed the strong relations between the Order of Malta and Montenegro, focusing on cooperation in emergency and disaster response. Ambassador Musneci emphasized the spiritual significance of the Holy Virgin of Philermos icon, preserved in Montenegro, as a symbol of the historic bond between the two entities
World Post Day is celebrated each year on 9 October, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874. This year, the UPU is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
