Rhodes and of Malta
On 26th May the University for Agriculture and Veterinary Medici in Cluj (USMAV) conferred the Laurea Honoris Causa to HE Ambassador Roberto Musneci. The decision was taken by the Academic Senate presided by Prof Viorel Mitre and sustained by the Rector Prof Cornel Catoi.
Yesterday afternoon Ambassador Musneci met the Minister of Justice, HE Cătălin Predoiu. In the meeting, a short brief was made to the Minister on the regular activities of the Order and on some specific actions taken to help the authorities mitigate the Ukrainian refugees' situation.
On Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18, the general manager of SAMR, Ferenc Tischler, the President Mihaly Denes and our Ambassador Roberto Musneci visited our volunteers at the border in SIRET following an earlier visit to Sighetu Marmatei and Ukraine.
Ambassador Roberto Musneci is grateful to the Royal House of Romania and in particular to His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania for the meeting granted yesterday morning at Palatul Elisabeta.
rom 29 April to 3 May, our Ambassador, accompanied by his wife and Tischler Ferenc, President of the Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez în România, together with the dames and chevaliers, and of course our volunteers, participated in the Order of Malta's international pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France.
On Sunday we celebrated the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ with a procession from the Church of Sacre Coeur to st. Joseph Cathedral.
Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April several knights, our dames and a few members of of our relief corp participated to the spiritual exercise organized by our President Tibor Kalnoky and led by one of our chaplain, Father Gabriel Popa.
Finally, after a month work and a few bureaucracies, on Wednesday the long waited truck was unloaded at Regina Pacis
Monday and Tuesday we paid a visit to the Republic of Moldova invited by Don Cesare Lodeserto, the Vicar General of the Diocesis and coordinator, on behalf of His Excellency the Bishop of Moldova Anton Cosa, of several institutions that since years support the poor, the sick, those exposed to human trafficking and, in these days, refugees entering Moldavia from Ukraine
